No New Posts Dechin Swamps

These marshy swamplands are often thought of as a natural paradox; the insects native to the area are notorious for carrying all manner of diseases, yet the plants that grow here are famed for being able to be used in medicine to cure almost anything. The dank, dark water is always murky, and the smell is always rancid -- to make things worse, there are areas of the swamp where the mud is particularly thick, making it hard to move once stuck. There were once paths leading through this treacherous place, but they have long since been taken over by some territorial bugs, making the swamps even more dangerous than ever.

No New Posts Kwindop

Though small in size and population, Kwindop receives some of the busiest tourist traffic in all of Asolandar. Because it is the location of most insect-catching competitions, businesses all over have set up shop in Kwindop to take advantage of the constant stream of Kylians coming through. Be wary, though -- there are rumors of illegal underground operations being behind some of the businesses in the area, and there are often frequent gang wars in the less regulated areas of Kwindop.

No New Posts Shikahn River

Nothing more than a dried-up riverbed now, this once-mighty river used to meander through the marshy lands of Asolandar. However, a combination of surplus mud blocking up its source and a lack of rainfall have caused it to dry up. The mile-wide ditch that was once the river is mostly dried up now, but there are a few spots that are still very muddy. The skeletons and other remains of aquatic animals and monsters linger at the bottom of the riverbed, as do other objects that the river was carrying when it dried up.

Board Description
Asolandar
A continent that straddles Drio's equator, Asolandar's ecosystems are primarily swamps and rainforests -- as a result of the warm weather all year around, innumerable insect monsters dwell on Asolandar. The cities on this continent are located far from notable insect breeding grounds and have a good portion of their economy invested in the insects; many tourists come from all over to participate in competitions involving catching these insect monsters.
